Course Description

Give supervisors the skills they need to understand and effectively structure team members.  This interactive course is offered both on-site and virtually with a live instructor, and includes worksheets, examples and team analysis.  Upon completion, supervisors will be better equipped to optimize team functionality, resolve team conflicts and leverage team personalities.

Training is targeted at new supervisors, or individuals needing refresher training on current practices.

Course Outcomes:

  • Understanding of the supervisor’s role as coach, collaborator and employee advocate.
  • Basics of an organized approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Understanding of how to navigate through basic to complex disciplinary issues with a focus on the importance of objectivity and factual documentation.
  • Role play situations used to increase attendee skill and intuition in dealing with personnel related issues.
